Lyric's Bio:
Interested in music at a very young age, Lyric started playing guitar and organ by ear at 6 years old. She would hear something she liked on the radio and then sit down with her guitar or at the keyboard and figure out how to play it. She eventually moved on to piano...and even learned to play the accordian.
As a teen, she formed an all girl band (it was the 80s!) named Myth, and performed for friends and family when she could. Myth also entered a battle of the bands contest in their school and took 3rd place. Lyric did take guitar and piano lessons, but stubbornly would not learn to read music. She insisted on doing it by ear, because part of her process was to hear a piece, sound it out on keys or guitar, and then master playing it. Hindsight tells her, she should have learned to read music!
Lyric's love of music never waned, but sometimes life gets in the way and you end up doing what you have to do, not what you want to do. Having lost a step-child to a terminal illness, and going through various other bumps and turns along the way, she put down her guitar and stood up from the keys for several years.
With the advent of online karaoke sites, Lyric slowly started bringing music back in to her life a couple of years ago. She realized that the music hadn't stopped playing all those years...it had just been on mute for awhile. Coming back to her love of music has been a process...as is everything in life.
Thankfully, she was introduced to Second Life by a musician friend who performs here. Listening to all the talented and passionate people performing in SL and meeting others who appreciate and are moved by it all lit a fire in her. She loves being a part of this community of artists. It feeds her soul in a way she can only express by singing for you as often as she can.
Lyric will sing you the songs you forgot you loved. Bringing you through a roller coaster of emotions...love, hate, lust, angst, rebellion....rock n' roll! An eclectic mix of artists and genres run through her shows. Maybe even a few special SL guest artist tracks and duets will sneak in there now and then.
Although Lyric is concentrating on singing and bringing you your favorite tunes vocally right now, she has picked up her guitar again, and hopes to add some live music to her shows in the future.
Stay tuned! More to come!

I wouldn't know how to express my emotions..and the world would be a boring and quiet place to be in..I love all kinds of music..and even tho I cant sing as good as I would love.. I wont ever stop.!

The Beatles-Yesterday

Yesterday,
All my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me,
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

Why she
Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said,
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Why she
Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said,
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm.

WOW! 1000+ HITS (Updated)

It's Been forever and a day since i last posted something. A lot has happened since my katy perry post. D: Where to start?.... hmm well I have a wonderful life in secondlife with great close friends and family (pogo Xue in game ID). We are still running Illusions club, still selling bunnies/bunny nests and just recently started in horse sales. Had a baby girl named Sasha with my wife Suga :) and are looking at adoption sometime in the near future. I brought real life affiliate programs into sl.

Think I should hav
e these in order from digital to real life.
So.. more digital news. I am working with BOINC again. I let my pc process data for a few organizations, ranging from searching for aliens with S.E.T.I. to helping break down transmitted radio signals back in 1942 that were "broken." I pray that what we look for would improve this world.
I dj at my internet radio station once in awhile. That is not that active due to my laptop needing to be fixed. And the website being buggy.

And for real life, I am back in school again. I think I am about halfway down with it taking 3 classes. Looking at going to ECPI technology school after I pass these classes. I am really looking forward to those classes.

2 months ago my scooter broke down. It stopped working for me on the way to school. It happened just after I filled up with gas at the Handee Hugo, at the corner of capital blvd and spring forest in Raleigh. (think they water down that lovely bp gas they use) Pushed it about 4 miles to a mechanics shop. The worked on it but didn't fix anything. They were clueless. (but very nice to try to help).
Needless to say I missed my classes that weekend. :( After that I pushed it another 7 miles till a nice man offered to help me. Let me keep it in his garage over night and drove me home. 11 miles of pushing the scooter in 24 hours was enough for me. D:
He was nice enough to help me work on the scooter the next day. We tried everything from draining the water from the gas tank to cleaning out the carburetor, all the time charging the battery. Few times it seemed like we were making progress. Eventually we ran out of options and got it running somewhat. I managed to get it about a mile from his house and it stopped working again. Time to push it home....
Got it home, pushed it about 6 miles or so. And took a very painful sleep.
Over a month later only progress made is having changed the battery with a new one. It's still not starting.

15 things God won't ask

God won’t ask what kind of car you drove, but will ask how many people you drove who didn’t have transportation.

God won’t ask the square footage of your house, but will ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

God won’t ask about the fancy clothes you had in your closet, but will ask how many of those clothes helped the needy.

God won’t ask about your social status, but will ask what kind of class you displayed.

God won’t ask how many material possessions you had, but will ask if they dictated your life.

God won’t ask what your highest salary was, but will ask if you compromised your character to obtain that salary.

God won’t ask how much overtime you worked, but will ask if you worked overtime for your family and loved ones.

God won’t ask how many promotions you received, but will ask how you promoted others.

God won’t ask what your job title was, but will ask if you reformed your job to the best of your ability.

God won’t ask what you did to help yourself, but will ask what you did to help others.

God won’t ask how many friends you had, but will ask how many people to whom you were a true friend.

God won’t ask what you did to protect your rights, but will ask what you did to protect the rights of others.

God won’t ask in what neighborhood you lived, but will ask how you treated your neighbors.

God won’t ask about the color of your skin, but will ask about the content of your character.

God won’t ask how many times your deeds matched your words, but will ask how many times they didn’t.

new language courses

So I got Rosetta Stone language courses and it seems pretty impressive so far. I am taking 3-4 lessons a day on Dutch, Spanish and German. I never been able to concentrate listening to language mp3's. People in my life like to disturb me while I try to get anything done. Using this program the distractions don't matter much cause I can pick up exactly where I left off.
So I guess this one is about self improvement. Got to try to improve what we can when the distractions of the world aren't bearing down on us. Not to impress,or to feel better about our selves but to keep momentum up.
